LA VERNE, CA – At its regular meeting on Monday, April 21, 2025, the City Council conducted the annual Mayor and Mayor Pro Tem rotation. The City Council unanimously selected Tim Hepburn to continue serving as Mayor and Meshal “Kash” Kashifalghita to serve as Mayor Pro Tem. They will each fulfill the duties for a one-year term. 

Mayor Hepburn commented on his reappointment, saying, “I deeply appreciate the vote of confidence from my fellow Councilmembers. Serving as Mayor is only possible because of the strong collaboration we have on our Council and with our exceptional City management team. It’s an honor to continue in this role, and I look forward to the incredible progress we’ll make together in the coming year and beyond. I remain committed to representing our City with integrity and purpose.” 

Mayor Pro Tem Meshal “Kash” Kashifalghita shared his appreciation on the appointment, stating, "I’m honored to be selected by my colleagues to serve as Mayor Pro Tem. I’m grateful for the opportunity to take on this leadership role and support our Mayor and the City. I look forward to continuing to listen, learn, and work together to make meaningful progress for our community."

The City looks forward to the contributions of Mayor Hepburn, Mayor Pro Tem Kashifalghita, and all Council Members as they work collaboratively with City staff to navigate the coming year.
